"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke
ISLAMISTS INFILTRATE THE LABOUR PARTY TO EXERCISE POLITICAL INFLUENCE AND POWER, SAYS MINISTER
A Labour minister has said his Party has been infiltrated by Islamists who want to remove democratic principles and exercise political influence and power on all levels to create an ‘Islamic social and political order’ in the United Kingdom...
The Islamist group is dedicated, in its own words, to changing the ‘very infrastructure of society, its institutions, its culture, its political order and its creed … from ignorance to Islam’...
A six-month investigation ... revealed it had ‘consolidated’ its influence at the London Borough Council of Tower Hamlets, which has a budget estimated at £1bn...
Other recordings by undercover reporters include leaders of the group saying they opposed democracy and supported Sharia law...
One undercover reporter was told that she would have to take an exam and swear an oath of allegiance and ordered to keep her membership ... a secret...
The reading list for the recruits’ training course consists of the key works of the revolutionary political creed known as Islamism, which advocates the overthrow of secular democratic government and its replacement by Islamic government...(See the Daily Telegraph report)
In October last year, another Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir, whose goal is to combine all Muslim countries in a unitary Islamic caliphate and which is regarded as an ‘ organisation of concern’ by the Home Office, has secured more than £100,000 of taxpayers’ money for grants to teach their ideology to children...(See the CCFON report)
A recent study by the think-tank Civitas found that there are at least 85 Islamic sharia courts operating in Britain. The number is almost 20 times as many as previously believed...(See the CCFON report)

PROMISE TO VOTE
In just a few months we will have the chance to participate in one of the most important elections we have ever faced as a nation.
With our nation and our faith facing such overwhelming challenges, the one thing you and I can do is make our Christian voice heard at the ballot box and vote for those who we know will support the values we hold so dearly.
I am asking you to make your Christian voice heard by signing the Promise to Vote.
The Church (all those who hold to the Christian faith across the UK) is larger than all the political parties put together. And if we can make our collective voice heard in the coming elections, we can begin to put our country back on the right track.
So please do make a Promise to Vote!
As we approach the coming election we want to send a clear message to MPs of all parties that Christians are not a silent, apathetic majority. Rather, we are people of great conviction who are committed to expressing those convictions at the ballot box.
And they can count on our Promise to Vote those convictions in the coming election.
In the coming weeks we will gather the thousands of signed Promises and deliver them to Parliament to send the very clear message that we will vote... and that the Christian voice must be heard and honoured.

GRAVES DESECRATED WHILST HOLOCAUST IS REMEMBERED - ANTI-SEMITISM RISES IN FRANCE AND UK
On 27th January, the 65th anniversary of the
liberation of Auschwitz the sick behaviour of
anti-Semites in France continued with the
desecration of 18 gravestones in the Jewish Cronenbourg Cemetery in
Strasburg.
The figures for anti-Semitic attacks in France
during 2009 have just been published by The Jewish Protection Service. There
were a total of 832 compared with 474 last year. Most involved graffiti and
threatening gestures. 17% involved vandalism and violence.
"CST recorded 924 antisemitic incidents in 2009. This is the highest annual
total since it began recording antisemitic incidents in 1984, and is 55 per cent
higher than the previous record of 598 incidents in 2006. 68 incidents involved Jewish schools, schoolchildren or teachers as targets. Of the 924 incidents recorded by CST, 460 took place in Greater London, 206 occurred in Greater Manchester, a rise of 65 per cent from 2008."

JUSTICE FOR DUKE
Please stand with CLC and people everywhere to support a good man in his fight for justice
Petition, Campaign, special website and Candlelight Vigil 15 December 2009
In July of this year, Bible-believing Christian Duke Amachree, married and father of 3 children who had served Wandsworth Council as a Homelessness Prevention Officer diligently for 18 years, was dismissed in circumstances Christians and non-Christians alike across the country rightly view as completely outrageous. Please take a few minutes to read this almost unbelievable story and then to take action to help him and to stand up against an injustice that is as appalling as anything I have seen in my many years in this work.
Duke’s story
In January of this year, Duke was helping a client with her housing situation. The client had seen various doctors who had told her that she had an incurable medical condition. Out of compassion for her, Duke commented that sometimes the doctors don’t know everything –and encouraged her to consider putting her faith in God.
When he arrived, Duke was told that there had been a complaint and that he was being suspended with immediate effect. His pass was taken away and he was told not to make contact with any of his friends and colleagues or to come near the offices. He was then marched off the premises.
You can see a very short film clip about Duke by clicking here.
Why we must take action in the days to come to help Duke Amachree
At CLC and CCFON we all believe, that this is one of the most appalling if not the most appalling case we have ever seen. The way Duke was treated anyone would think he had been caught viewing pornography on an office computer. Yet all Duke did was extend the hand of compassion to a fellow human being in distress. What’s more, there was nothing in his employment contract to indicate that he was in any way not to speak about God.
Don’t say ‘God bless’ or we'll sack you…
Incredibly, when our solicitor who represented Duke in the initial meeting with the employer asked what would have happened if Duke had simply said ‘God bless you’ to a client, the spokesperson for Wandsworth Council said it would have been advisable not to say that either.
Duke Amachree, a gentle, intelligent and kind-hearted family man living in Britain in 2009 has been found ‘guilty’ of an ‘offence’ which would amaze a visitor from any previous time in the history of Christianity in this country. Out of compassion he offered the hope of God to a woman in need. He breached no part of his contract. Yet he was marched off the premises and, after a period of suspension, was dismissed.
Please help by joining our ‘Justice for Duke’ Campaign in these following ways:
· Keep Duke and his family in your prayers over the coming days. This is not an easy time for them and they will be greatly moved to know that there are hundreds or perhaps thousands of people praying for them every day. · Keep an eye on the special website for developments as we count down to 15 December 2009, www.justiceforduke.com · Take a few seconds to add your name to the ‘Justice for Duke’ petition. This will help raise awareness and make a statement that Christians and non-Christians alike will not stand by whilst a good man is treated this way. We hope any reasonable person would agree that a man who has served an employer honestly and diligently for 18 years should not be thrown out of his job just for mentioning God whatever their own beliefs may be, especially when he has no reason to believe his employer would view his words as being a problem. So please forward on to as many of your friends as you can. · If you live in Wandsworth, please write to your MP. A model letter can be found by clicking here for you to adapt, print off, sign and send if you would like to. Please see this link also to find out who your MP is and where to write to them. ·

AN OPEN LETTER TO CHURCH LEADERS IN THE UK
A SHAMEFUL SILENCE
I was shocked when I read the following recently: In an interview with Premier Christian Radio earlier this year, Sheikh Dr Muhammad al-Hussaini (a Muslim), founder of Scripture Reasoning and Lecturer in Islamic Studies at Leo Beck Rabbinical College, blamed the church hierarchy in the UK for not protesting vociferously and actively at Christian persecution around the world. Al-Hussaini mentioned specifically horrendous machete attacks on Christians in Nigeria, Iraqi Christians being burned out of their homes and Christians in Pakistan being stoned or attacked on the slightest pretext. He highlighted Barnabas Fund’s efforts on behalf of persecuted Christians as an example of how concerned Christians ought to respond to the plight of their fellow Christians. While Muslims are hypersensitive to any ill-treatment of Muslims anywhere in the world, he added, they remain silent about the persecution of Christians in their midst. Many Muslims are simply looking for scapegoats to punish for their own troubles. They know that churches in the West will not do more than utter a whimper, as this issue is not sufficiently important to them, [my emphasis] mainly because those suffering are neither white nor wealthy, so they can go on with impunity blaming Crusader-Zionist conspiracies for everything. He called upon the church to be a voice for justice for persecuted minorities, which he claims would speak "into the heart of the Muslim community". In the light of the above condemnation from a Muslim sheikh is it not time to repent - of our cowardly silence? - of our parochialism, apathy and indifference to the plight of untold numbers of Christians who are suffering persecution daily? - of our ignorance of what is being done to the church around the world, when so much information is available? - of not wanting to ‘rock the boat’ and upset relations with leaders of other faiths? Is it not time to - find out about the suffering of our fellow-believers? - encourage Christians to give financially to ease their suffering? - protest their treatment? - encourage Christians to pray for them? More information is available from Barnabas Fund www.barnabasfund.org
Yours sincerely, David H. Fewster 4 Caernarvon Road Wrexham LL12 7TT ______________________________________________________________________________________________________
DPP ASSISTED SUICIDE CONSULATION
On 30 July campaigner Debbie Purdy won her House of Lords appeal seeking ‘clarity’ about whether people assisting ‘loved ones’ to commit suicide would face prosecution. The Law Lords’ Judgment required the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Keir Starmer, to produce an ‘offence-specific’ policy outlining the ‘facts and circumstances’ he will take into account in deciding whether or not it is ‘in the public interest’ in specific cases to prosecute someone for assisting with suicide contrary to the Suicide Act 1961.The DPP published an interim policy statement on 23 September. The guidance contained in this took effect immediately but is subject to a public consultation. The consultation closes on 16 December and the DPP will then publish definitive guidance in Spring 2010. It is extremely important that as many people as possible take part in this public consultation and express their concerns about the guidance to the DPP.
The Care Not Killing Alliance (CNK), representing almost 50 organisations, published its comprehensive analysis of the draft guidance on 15 November. The CNK submission had good coverage in the Telegraph and the Times and has attracted the backing of prominent lawyers and doctors. CNK’s position is that the guidance is not fit for purpose in its current form and that there are serious defects both in its underlying principles and in several of the specific prosecution criteria proposed. The key message to convey to the DPP is that assisting suicide is a criminal offence, and that it needs to be made clear in the guidelines that there will be a presumption in favour of prosecuting those who perpetrate it unless there are clear and compelling reasons to the contrary. This presumption is required by the Code for Crown Prosecutors but is not mentioned in the interim policy statement. We are also particularly concerned about the following ‘less likely to prosecute’ categories, which we believe are both discriminatory and dangerously unrealistic and as such pose serious dangers to public safety: • the victim is disabled or seriously/terminally ill - despite the fact that Parliament has repeatedly rejected legalising assisted suicide for terminally ill people and that it is a fundamental principle of the criminal law that its protection should be afforded equally to all, irrespective of their age, sex, race, religion – and state of health. • the victim has attempted suicide before - even though this often indicates mental illness and in prisons or hospitals such a history is grounds for extra vigilance • the ‘assister’ is a spouse, partner, or close family member - even though elder abuse (physical, emotional and financial) often occurs within apparently ‘loving families’
If you feel you cannot complete the
whole Questionnaire, please at least try and complete the all-important Question
5 – which appears on Pages 12 and 13 and lists various circumstances in which
people might not be prosecuted for assisting a suicide. It is essential that a
number of these circumstances – in particular, those numbered 1, 4, 6, 8 and 11
– should be firmly answered with No.
N.B. Care Not Killing’s own ‘analysis’ link (see above), has their answers to the questionnaire plainly stated there. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________

VIDEO ON EU DIRECTIVE ON EQUAL TREATMENT: PROFESSOR WILLIAM WAGNER EXPLAINS CONCERNS
Please watch the video below, where Professor Wagner explains how this Directive has a potentially horrendous impact on Christians and the Christian way of life
The measures could
have the effect of silencing Christians for fear of being sued for ‘harassment’.
The alarming shift in the burden of proof onto the accused to demonstrate that the person alleging harassment did not, in fact, perceive offence.
In practice this
could mean that anyone could potentially accuse a Christian of harassing them,
leaving the Christian the almost impossible task of proving that the alleged
victim had not, in fact, been offended. · Freedom of speech · Freedom to speak to non-Christians about the Gospel · Academic freedom · Religious groups delivering public services (due to the possible chilling effect on free speech) We expect the Council of Ministers (with representation from all Member States) to vote in November 2009, so there is little time left to act. Action to take: 1. Watch the Video. 2. Prayer. We serve a Mighty God. Pray that Nations will say No to the Directive and veto it. Without a unanimous vote in favour it will not be passed. 3. Please read the first 10 pages of the pack and Appendix 1 (example letters). If you have the time or interest, the other Appendices provide more details. To access the pack, please click here. 4. Use the example letters in Appendix 1 to write to your MP and Equality Minister. 5. Encourage your Christian friends in other European countries to do the same and write to their political representatives and Ministers responsible for Equality. The pack contains a list of Ministers from each EU country that might be responsible for equality matters. It is vital that Christians across the EU realise the seriousness of the situation and that Equality Ministers are informed that they can vote “No”. The final decision-making is now with the Nations themselves in the Council of Ministers, so MPs and the Equality Ministers are the best choice. You can also write to your MEPs to make them aware of our concern not only for our own nations but also for Europe. Thank you for your support in protecting religious liberties. DIVERSITY? WE'VE ALL GOT A CROSS TO BEAR Richard Littlejohn in MailOnline
Respect for 'diversity' doesn't extend to Christianity. While the state panders to the every whim of minorities, Britain's official religion has become a pariah. The latest victims of persecution are hoteliers Ben and Sharon Vogelenzang, from Liverpool, who are being taken to court charged with 'hate crime'.Their offence was to question aspects of Islam in a private conversation with a Muslim guest over breakfast. When the guest complained to the police, the couple were arrested under the Public Order Act, which is designed to cover serious civil disturbance, such as violence in the street. They are facing a £5,000 fine, a criminal record and are staring bankruptcy in the face after being struck off by the local hospital, which used to refer outpatients to their hotel ______________________________________________________________________________________________________
CONTROVERSIAL U.K. MAYOR CUTS GAY PRIDE FUNDING, PLEDGES END TO POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IN GOVERNMENT By Hilary White "I'm not a homophobe," he said, "but I don't see why council taxpayers should pay to celebrate anyone's sexuality." Davies is only the second mayor of Doncaster to have been elected directly by a popular vote rather than by council members. He campaigned on a popular platform, that has reportedly alarmed the political classes on both the Labour and Tory sides of the House, in which he pledged to "stamp out political correctness" in every area of Doncaster's local government. To accomplish this, Davies has recruited the group Campaign Against Political Correctness (CAPC) to consult on his planned reforms. A spokesman for the CAPC, John Midgley, said that "people are crying out" for an end to the wave of politically correct policies in Britain. "We commissioned a survey by ICM," Midgley said, "that said 80 per cent of people are fed up to the back teeth with it." Davies promised to end council funding for "politically correct initiatives" and to "scrap politically correct non-jobs" such as "community cohesion officers" and "encourage the former employees to seek meaningful employment." In his first week in office, Davies fulfilled his promises by cutting his own salary from £73,000 to £30,000; reducing the number of councillors from 63 to 21, saving the town £800,000 a year. He immediately announced plans to reduce council tax by 3 per cent and got rid of the mayoral limousine. He ended a "twinning" arrangement with five towns around the world, which he described as "just for people to fly off and have a binge at the council's expense." While campaigning earlier this year, and in the midst of a national pandemic of violent youth crime, Davies, who is a retired school teacher, called for harsher punishments for "young thugs." As a founding member of the Campaign for Real Education, Davies has pressed for restoration of traditional methods in schools that he says will reduce crime and restore Britain's once-legendary public order. He also called on the government to withdraw Britain from the European Union "in order to save billions of pounds each year and return control of the country's affairs to our own parliament." Calling him the UK's "most gloriously un-PC" mayor, the Daily Mail's Robert Hardman asked, "Who should be most worried about his success: Labour or the Tories? Because his message threatens both." Hardman commented, "To the shock and dismay of many local councillors and MPs, most of Westminster and the entire Government, the assiduously straight-talking Mr. Davies has just become one of the most powerful politicians in Britain." Columnist and pundit Gerald Warner, writing for the Daily Telegraph's blog, called Davies's tenure "the beginning of the end for political correctness" and a sign that "the counter-revolution has begun." His agenda, Warner wrote, "against all the tenets of consensual British politics, consists of doing what the public wants."
